If you have flown here, you will most definitely need a rent a car in which to get around. Before even leaving the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, you can conveniently pick up a rental car. Once you have your rental car, you will want to find a great place to stay. There are many fabulous hotels near this airport. In fact, there is one located at the airport. The Cincinnati Airport Doubletree is located on the airport grounds and adjacent to all terminals. Park your rental car for free, and enjoy the bistro and bar and free airport shuffle. However, if you wish to stay out and away from the airport, there are also many great choices. For example, if you would like to get out and really enjoy this area, the Radisson Riverfront is nine miles from the airport and located on 668 W. 5th Street in Covington, Kentucky. It is called riverfront for a reason – it is on the southern banks of the Ohio River and across from downtown Cincinnati. There are many attractions nearby as well as shopping and restaurants. People vacation here for many reasons. You may have, for example, come here to enjoy the wonderful golf courses (there are seven). The California Golf Course on 5924 Kellogg Avenue, overlooks the Ohio River, has 18 holes, a golf shop, and is a challenge for both the seasoned golfer as well as the beginner. Another great choice is the Beech Creek Golf Course on 1831 Hudepohl Lane. Play 9 or 18 holes there. After spending a day on the golf course, you will want to enjoy a meal. The Brotherton’s is just a short distance from Beech Creek on Hamilton Avenue. It offers great American comfort food in a village atmosphere restaurant. Besides meatloaf, spaghetti and meatballs, salmon, sandwiches, and barbecue chicken, enjoy beer, wine, liquor and cheesecake for dessert. Another great restaurant is Lebo’s. It is just a short distance from the California course on Kellogg Avenue and offers dancing, karaoke, an outdoor deck, and great American food.
